Penn State is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the Department of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management. The term position begins in March 2027 and involves leading and assisting projects with the National Park Service and other federal agencies on mobility data, visitor flows, visitor counting, dashboards, proposal preparation, research execution, and student mentoring. The role requires a Ph.D. in a relevant technical discipline, strong software development and experimental research experience, and the ability to mentor students. It is research-focused with no teaching expectation, and applications are accepted on a continuing basis until the position is filled.
