Description
The role combines laser and other machining operations with rubber-processing equipment, including compression presses, extruders, mills, mixers, and metal-prep equipment. Responsibilities include measuring and marking workpieces, setting cutting and turning controls, operating and monitoring machines, producing parts within tolerance, performing in-process inspections, troubleshooting machining and assembly problems, setting up and inspecting molds and tooling, preparing materials, applying adhesives, removing flashing, planning work sequences, maintaining inventory, and reading blueprints and work-order routers. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math knowledge, and at least three years of machining experience; rubber-industry, BOP, sub-assembly fabrication, and cross-training experience are preferred.
