Description

The Safeguards Analyst at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) provides operational and analytical support for the Office of Safeguards (OSFG) in implementing technical assistance projects. Responsibilities include managing TA administration, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring project compliance, preparing budgets, handling travel reimbursements, maintaining records, and supporting consultant recruitment. The role involves working collaboratively across various departments and contributing to knowledge management initiatives.

Required Skills

Understanding of environmental and social dimensions in development projects and programs.
Proficiency in the development, maintenance, and administration of information management systems.
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
Excellent proficiency in oral and written English communications.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years work experience in environment, involuntary resettlement and/or indigenous people/ethnic minorities safeguards (in the context of development projects, research, or non-government organization initiatives)
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of project implementation
Working knowledge of ADB's Safeguard Policy Statement and awareness about similar policies of other multilateral development banks
Proficiency in the development, maintenance, and administration of information management systems
Proficiency in common office applications for document processing, spreadsheets and presentations; excellent knowledge of MS Excel
Work collaboratively with teams and individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds
Excellent proficiency in oral and written English communications
