Atoms is hiring a Functional Safety Engineer to own the end-to-end safety case for physical-robotics systems, including defining scope, judging evidence sufficiency, writing claim-argument-evidence maps, convening reviews, and maintaining the safety case. The role requires 7+ years across functional safety, autonomy behavior, and fleet operations, with hands-on experience in at least two areas, plus hazard-analysis and scenario-validation ownership, standards fluency, Python programming, and exceptional written precision. The position is onsite in San Francisco and offers a base salary of $149,000 to $188,000 per year, with medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance among the benefits.
