Description
The Plant Safety Manager assists Pilgrim’s in managing accident and illness programs, hazard and risk analyses, workers’ compensation, safety reporting, accident investigations, corrective actions, safety training, plant inspections, exposure and hazard-control programs, personal protective equipment, machine guarding, equipment design approvals, and compliance with industrial safety and health laws. The role requires a college degree or directly related experience, at least five years of poultry or meat-processing plant experience, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to work in adverse conditions and flexible hours.
