Description
The Safety Specialist supports daily and weekly safety operations in a manufacturing environment by conducting safety and environmental inspections, maintaining emergency and hazardous-waste equipment, documenting findings, assisting with incident investigations and audits, supporting training and safety committees, and contributing to continuous improvement. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and OSHA 30-Hour, RCRA, CPR/AED train-the-trainer, and Fire Extinguisher Technician certifications or willingness to obtain them; manufacturing or industrial experience is preferred. The position is full-time, salary-exempt, and may require travel to Ironton, Ohio.
