The role validates safety plans and hazard controls, conducts safety audits, analyzes performance metrics, leads hazard mitigation, evaluates compliance in logistics and hazardous-materials environments, and mentors subordinate staff. Senior-level candidates need a bachelor's degree in safety engineering or a related field, 10+ years of relevant experience, and CSP or equivalent certification; midlevel candidates need a bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
