Description
The School Bus Driver Training and Safety Coordinator conducts and documents behind-the-wheel training, assists with driver recruitment, leads safety meetings and semi-annual driver evaluations, administers safety awareness programs, reviews driver records and vehicle records, coordinates license and certificate expirations, investigates accidents and injuries, and maintains safety records. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, commercial driving experience, an appropriate vehicle class license, current medical and school bus driver’s certificate, knowledge of student transportation regulations, adult training techniques, computer literacy, communication skills, basic math, and multitasking and time-management abilities.
