Planet is hiring a full-time Satellite Electrical Engineer to own the electrical design and production of satellite subsystems from requirements through architecture, detailed design, manufacturing, and qualification. The role covers analog, power, thermal, mixed-signal, PCB, harness, signal integrity, EMI/EMC, embedded interfaces, and systems integration, with a hybrid San Francisco schedule of three days per week. Candidates need an engineering degree, at least four years of design-to-manufacturing experience, PCB and embedded-systems expertise, and laboratory equipment skills; knowledge of high-speed design, DC-DC converters, and Python is advantageous. The position offers a San Francisco base salary of $144,500 to $180,600 USD, plus potential bonuses and equity, and includes medical, dental, vision, HSA, paid leave, and other benefits.
