Description

Reflect Orbital is hiring a Satellite Ground Software Engineer to build and operate ground software for satellite operations, including telemetry ingestion, command uplink workflows, operator dashboards, automation, and integration with ground stations and Ground Station-as-a-Service providers. The role involves deploying software on AWS and Kubernetes, maintaining CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code pipelines, troubleshooting software, network, and hardware issues, and providing 24/7 on-call support. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least three years of ground systems software development experience, and expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, networking, databases, Linux, and DevOps tools.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years developing ground systems software, services, APIs, and applications
Experience deploying and operating software on AWS with Kubernetes and CI/CD
Experience working with Ground Station-as-a-Service providers
Experience building services around relational or time-series databases and real-time data
Experience with DevOps tools and practices including Git, Docker, and CI/CD
Preferred Qualifications: Strong understanding of networking protocols, routing, VPNs, and secure connectivity
Knowledge of satellite ground systems, ground station networking, antenna interfaces, and RF subsystems
Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools
Strong programming and scripting skills, with Python and C++ preferred
Experience building software for multi-satellite constellation operations
