Description
The Satellite Flight Operations Engineer conducts real-time spacecraft and satellite flight operations across readiness, execution, and evaluation phases. The role develops mission plans and procedures, supports orbit dynamics and satellite performance analysis, directs on-orbit mission support, plans for vehicle malfunctions, analyzes telemetry-based failures, and uses spacecraft control software to improve operations. It requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance, significant satellite operations and orbital analysis experience or a STEM bachelor’s degree, and experience with SBIRS constellation navigation, collision avoidance, OASYS or STK, and complex ground-system troubleshooting. The position offers a full-time salary range of $118,000 to $219,100 and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
