Description
The Saw Operator will safely operate an automatic vertical band saw and other equipment, cut steel stock, read blueprints, maintain inventory, unload materials, bend steel with a hydraulic press, and perform basic preventative maintenance. The role requires familiarity with hand tools and lockout/tagout procedures, mechanical aptitude, blueprint interpretation, independent and team work, scheduling, recordkeeping, and effective communication. The position involves standing, walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, working around moving machinery, and exposure to noise, dust, and temperature changes.
