Description
The Steel Cutting Operator moves, stocks, saws, cuts, and stages steel and other materials in a warehouse and factory environment. The role operates cut-off machines, selects and installs blades, adjusts machine controls, positions fixtures, mounts steel, reads job orders and blueprints, inspects cut dimensions, operates material-handling equipment, performs preventative maintenance, and follows safety and housekeeping requirements. A high school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of relevant experience are preferred, along with the ability to operate tools and equipment, pass a forklift course, and perform physically demanding work.
