Description
The Saw Operator sets up and operates a saw to cut steel parts, adjusts blade speed and feed, changes blades and guides, verifies steel sizes, measures workpieces, performs equipment inspections and preventive maintenance, and records production, quality, and time information. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic gauging and reading skills, Work Keys assessments at Entry Level 3, and the ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and work in a loud environment with moving mechanical parts.
