Description
The Software Engineer (Scala) — Core Level will work on ITV’s User and Payments streaming domains, developing and supporting highly scalable microservices. The role focuses on writing idiomatic Scala, unit and integration testing, peer review, agile collaboration, observability, feature flags, and on-call support. Required experience includes Scala, functional programming, distributed version control, web services, message brokers, payment platforms, and authentication standards; additional Scala ecosystem, database, cloud, CI/CD, performance testing, and AI development experience is preferred.
