Description
The Carpenter builds and assembles wooden scenic elements from plans, drawings, or client requests; performs carpentry, joinery, laminate and veneer work, and prepares finished pieces for painting, labeling, and packaging. The role maintains a clean wood shop, records inventory usage, supports a safety culture, and may work overtime, early mornings, evenings, and weekends. It requires at least five years of applicable scenic carpentry experience, knowledge of scenic construction and rigging, the ability to read drawings and ground plans, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. The position is primarily in a manufacturing environment with occasional offsite work at industry-based venues and reports to the Wood Shop Lead.
