Description
The Scheduling Specialist II coordinates complex patient procedure and surgical schedules, including multi-appointment cases, add-ons, emergent procedures, diagnostic tests, clearances, treatment plans, and patient itineraries. The role collaborates with physicians, insurance specialists, departments, staff, and patients; supports authorization, case-resource planning, registration, data entry, chart preparation, quality improvement, and confidentiality. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of scheduling experience, three years of healthcare scheduling experience for infusion, medical insurance knowledge, Microsoft Office and healthcare database skills, and BLS certification within six months of hire.
