The employer is recruiting for a three-year apprenticeship as a Schiffsmechaniker:in. The role combines operating, maintaining, and repairing ships’ machinery and systems from the engine room to the bridge, including engine watch, navigation support, loading and unloading, and safety duties. The apprenticeship alternates between the ship, the company’s workshop, and vocational school, and includes a report book, monthly written assignments, and two-part examinations. Applicants must be seafaring-eligible, at least 16 years old, interested in technical work, reliable, team-oriented, and have basic mathematics and English knowledge.
