Description
The School Based Mental Health Therapist provides diagnostic assessments, counseling, supportive services, and case management to students and families in a designated school. The role serves children and adolescents ages 8–17, develops treatment and behavior support plans, conducts clinical interviews and assessments, provides individual, group, and family therapy, reviews referrals, and coordinates with families and school personnel. The position requires a master’s degree in a human services-related field, District of Columbia licensure in a specified mental health or social work license, and at least two years of direct-care clinical services with individuals with mental health diagnoses.
