Description
The School Maintenance Worker maintains a safe, clean, and functional school facility by performing routine repairs, minor plumbing and electrical work, HVAC and building-system checks, surface and equipment maintenance, inspections, and coordination of specialized contractors. The role responds to maintenance requests, documents issues, follows safety procedures, and supports school operations at the Higher Institute of Arts and Technology in Merrillville, Indiana. A high school diploma or equivalent and prior building-maintenance experience are preferred, along with basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
