SCO is hiring a part-time School Supportive Counselor to serve transfer high school students at East Brooklyn Community High School in Brooklyn. The role provides short-term, school-based emotional support and guidance, builds coping and decision-making skills, supports students involved in conflict or disengagement, provides crisis intervention when appropriate, documents services in the DOE system, and collaborates with school and district staff. The position requires an MSW, a current New York State LMSW credential, and typically two to three days per week on-site from Monday through Thursday; the schedule is 21 hours per week with an annual salary of $39,69.
