Description
The Science and Engineering Associate supports scientific instruments and experiments at the Linac Coherent Light Source by coordinating researchers, technicians, engineers, vendors, and users; troubleshooting and maintaining complex equipment, controls, vacuum, laser, and experimental systems; developing prototypes and specialized systems; managing installations and maintenance; and supervising technicians and other staff. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field plus three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with knowledge of advanced scientific and engineering principles, data analysis, documentation, and laboratory supervision.
