Description
The Department of Ecology is hiring a Science and Engineering Unit Supervisor (Environmental Engineer 5) for its Nuclear Waste Program in Richland, Washington. The role supervises a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers while providing senior-level engineering oversight for Hanford Site cleanup, CERCLA remedial actions, RCRA permitting, tank waste retrieval and closure, groundwater and soil remediation, and related technical documents. The position is eligible for telework and flexible scheduling, with at least one office day per week encouraged, and requires Washington professional engineering licensure, five years of environmental engineering experience including one year of contaminated-site investigation and cleanup, and completion of specified HAZWOPER and RadWorker training.
