Brunel is hiring a Scientific Associate / Research Associate to support an interdisciplinary specialist department focused on CO₂ difference contracts. The role involves reviewing applications for policy, funding, economic, and technical feasibility; handling administrative tasks; supporting ongoing grant projects for industrial recipients; tracking scientific and technical developments; and developing the CO₂ difference contracts instrument. Applicants need a completed academic degree in engineering or natural sciences or comparable extensive experience, knowledge of industry—especially energy-intensive process heat—preferably experience with publicly financed research or market introduction projects, and fluent German at C2 level.
