Description
Areté is hiring a mid-level Scientific Computing Intern to support signal and image processing scientists and software engineers. The intern will analyze data, evaluate algorithm performance, develop and prototype new or improved algorithms, and collaborate with software engineers to implement them in robust, high-performance software. The role may involve ocean remote sensing, state estimation, detection and tracking, computer vision, machine learning, physics-based modeling, data analysis, and sensor characterization. Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program, have relevant physics, mathematics, or signal/image processing exposure, program in C or C++ and Python, and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance. Compensation is $30 per hour for a Science Aide or $35 per hour for a Scientist Assistant.
