The Center for Book Studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München is hiring a Scientific Coordinator (m/f/d) for its DFG-funded research group on the German pulp magazine novel. The role coordinates academic and organizational activities, links administrative management with substantive sub-projects, promotes scientific exchange, manages budgets and deadlines, and supports public relations and press communication. The position is full-time, based in Munich, and runs from 01.12.2026 to 30.11.2030, with an optional four-year extension. Applicants need an excellent PhD in book studies, German studies, history, or a related discipline, along with interest in the research topic, strong communication and organizational skills, and basic Digital Humanities and IT knowledge.
