Description

QuEra Computing, Inc. is seeking a Scientific Software Engineer to develop and optimize software solutions for their neutral-atom quantum computers. The role involves working with a scientific software team and collaborating with industry and academic partners to enhance performance through classical compiler techniques and quantum system architecture. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the compiler pipeline, designing domain-specific languages, implementing optimization methods, and conducting static analysis.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience with Python semantics, Python type hints, CPython interpreter.
Experience with at least one of the compiled languages and experienced with their type system, e.g C++, Julia, Rust, Haskell, OCamel, etc.
Experience with Static Single Assignment intermediate representations-based compiler development.
Knowledge of the full lifecycle of software development, including version control, code review, testing, CI/CD, logging, profiling, debugging, and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with computer microarchitecture/hardware design
Experience with using LLVM or MLIR for compiler development, or experience with an existing compiler development
Experience or publication in quantum hardware oriented program optimization, e.g scheduling, routing etc.
Quantum error correction
Contribution to existing open-source libraries
Knowledge of quantum computing basics, e.g., common quantum algorithms, quantum information theory basics.
