Description

US Tech Solutions is seeking a contract Scientist — Cell Biology and Assay Development for a 12-month, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM role supporting early-discovery programs. The scientist will establish and engineer mammalian cell lines, develop and optimize plate-based and imaging-based assays, characterize compounds, troubleshoot experiments, analyze data, and communicate results to cross-functional teams. The role requires a PhD in a relevant discipline or an MS with 3–4 years of relevant experience, along with strong mammalian cell culture, cell engineering, high-content imaging, and assay-development capabilities.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical biology, or a related discipline; or an MS in a related discipline with 3–4 years of relevant industry or academic research experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Hands-on experience generating, maintaining, and characterizing engineered or stable mammalian cell models.
Hands-on experience with high-throughput or high-content fluorescence imaging, assay setup, image acquisition, and quantitative image analysis.
Experience with confocal microscopy, fluorescence-based cellular assays, experimental troubleshooting, and quantitative data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications: Recent hands-on mammalian cell culture experience.
Experience with cell engineering, transient transfection, lentiviral transduction, and stable cell-line generation.
Experience developing and running plate-based cellular assays.
Experience with protein-degradation, target-engagement, or mechanism-of-action studies.
Experience with fluorescence or high-content imaging, image analysis, flow cytometry, antibody staining, and immunofluorescence.
Familiarity with western blotting, qPCR, reporter assays, and high-throughput or medium-throughput compound testing.
Ability to independently prioritize experimental work, generate high-quality data, and troubleshoot without frequent supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and collaborative teamwork skills.
