Axle is hiring a Scientist to lead cell-culture process development for clinical vaccine and therapeutic candidates at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in Bethesda, Maryland. The role covers technology transfer, bioreactor-based production, toxicological-grade material generation, scalable cGMP manufacturing, regulatory and project planning, laboratory equipment management, and scientific reporting. A Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another life sciences field and 15 years of mammalian and/or microbial cell-culture development experience are required. The position offers medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, a 401(k) match, and other benefits, with a base salary of $110,000–$120,000 USD.
