USRA is seeking a Scientist to support low-gravity exploration technology and materials science research, including combustion, fluid mechanics, transport processes, and polymer aerogels. The role involves collaborating with project scientists, leading research projects, mentoring interns, publishing findings, and participating in project reviews. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents and hold a PhD in a relevant field, with a strong background in microscopy, spectroscopy, experimental techniques, and data analysis. The work is primarily onsite at NASA GRC and the GEARS facility, with potential telecommuting.
