Amgen is hiring a Scientist, Biologic Discovery for a 14-month contract in Burnaby, British Columbia, reporting to a Principal Scientist. The role joins the In Vitro Pharmacology team to develop, optimize, qualify, and implement cell-based assays for high-throughput screening of therapeutic antibody candidates. Responsibilities include designing and analyzing experiments, using mammalian cell culture, transfection, ELISA, flow cytometry, and fluorescence imaging, troubleshooting technical issues, documenting data, and collaborating with cross-functional partners. The position requires a doctorate, or a master’s degree with three years of directly related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with five years of directly related experience; candidates must reside in the Greater Vancouver area, and the role offers potential for full-time placement.
