Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Viral Vector Services division is hiring an Upstream/Downstream Process Development Scientist to support clients through process development, laboratory and technology transfer activities, and transfer into cGMP manufacturing for gene therapy production. The role involves experimental design, laboratory experiments, testing plans, process documentation, data interpretation, and collaboration with analytical development and client teams. A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, biochemistry, biology, or a related field and 0–2 years of related experience are required, with upstream and downstream bioprocessing expertise preferred. The position is based in Massachusetts and offers an estimated hourly range of $28.16–$42.24, along with medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
