Description
The Scientist, Research Data Modeling will design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for scientific, experimental, laboratory, formulation, ingredient discovery, and other research data domains. The role collaborates with scientists, data engineers, governance specialists, and platform teams to translate research requirements into structured, FAIR, metadata-rich, reusable, and AI-ready data assets, with implementation in Databricks or other enterprise data platforms. Candidates should have a relevant degree and typically 2+ years of experience, along with hands-on data modeling, research data, FAIR principles, metadata, data governance, and modern data platform experience. The position is based in Princeton, New Jersey, offers a hybrid work environment, and pays $100,000-$140,000 annually.
