Description

Eon is hiring a scientist to lead and improve tissue processing, staining, and preparation workflows for high-resolution volumetric imaging of mammalian brain tissue. The role combines expansion microscopy, fluorescence imaging, antibody validation, signal amplification, and pipeline development, with hands-on protocol optimization and collaboration across research, animal, and engineering teams. Candidates should have a relevant advanced degree and strong experience with neural tissue processing, immunofluorescence, microscopy, and high-volume imaging methods.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in neuroscience, biology, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, molecular biology, chemistry, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: Hands-on experience with neural tissue processing, staining, immunofluorescence, and microscopy-based workflows
Experience with high-volume, high-resolution tissue-processing methods such as expansion microscopy or CLARITY
Familiarity with neuroanatomy and tissue architecture preservation
Understanding of fluorescence, fluorophore labeling chemistry, and signal amplification methods
Ability to perform basic bioconjugation chemistry
Familiarity with confocal and light-sheet fluorescence microscopy
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree for protocol development leadership
Experience with neural tissue samples or large-volume staining workflows
Experience developing tissue-processing or sample-preparation protocols
Familiarity with whole-brain or large-scale imaging pipelines
Experience working with microscopy, animal, or engineering teams in a cross-functional setting
