The role operates screed controls on asphalt paving machines to regulate asphalt width, depth, flow, alignment, and grade, while coordinating with paver operators, truck drivers, rollers, and laborers. Responsibilities include monitoring material distribution and compaction, making screed adjustments, performing basic equipment checks and maintenance, reporting mechanical or safety issues, and following site safety procedures.
