Monash University is hiring a full-time Research Fellow for its School of Physics and Astronomy at the Clayton campus. The two-year fixed-term appointment focuses on astrophysics of transients, including r-process element production in kilonovae and collapsars, and collaboration with observational transient, OzGrav, supernova, stellar evolution, nucleosynthesis, and multi-messenger astronomy groups. Applicants must hold a doctoral qualification in astrophysics, physics, or a closely related field and have experience with transient astronomy, observational data analysis, multi-wavelength comparisons, and/or multi-messenger science, along with analytical, manuscript-preparation, publication, planning, organisational, and communication skills. The role pays $86,195–$116,981 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation and supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
