Description
The Security Automation Engineer develops, implements, and optimizes automations and playbooks in a SOAR platform; operates and extends security platforms such as SIEM, EDR, and interfaces; analyzes SOC processes for automation opportunities; and collaborates with SOC and DFIR teams to improve detection, response, and scalability. The role also contributes to in-house software development involving agentic AI, MCP services, web applications, cloud compute, and databases. Candidates need an IT, cybersecurity, or comparable qualification, experience in SecDevOps, security engineering, or automation, Python and API knowledge, and strong analytical and automation skills. The position is based in Graz, offers flexible working hours and remote-work options, and pays at least EUR 60,000 annually for full-time employment.
