Description

Amazon is hiring a Security Engineer for its Customer Service Application Security team to partner with development teams and embed secure-by-default practices throughout the software development lifecycle. The role focuses on designing automated security guardrails and paved paths, conducting threat modeling and architecture reviews, building continuous security assessments, contributing code for security fixes, and developing scalable self-service security tools. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or a similar object-oriented language
At least 3 years of experience in application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, or penetration testing
Preferred Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security
Experience with AWS products and services
Experience implementing security solutions at the business division level or equivalent
Experience communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication
Experience using Large Language Models to automate and scale security, with knowledge of associated risks and mitigation strategies
