Amazon is hiring a Security Engineer for its Security Incident Response Team (SIRT). The role responds to security incidents, analyzes malware and intrusion attempts, investigates threats, coordinates cross-team responses, develops incident-response solutions, and supports customer-facing security incidents. Responsibilities include root-cause analysis, threat hunting, vulnerability analysis, security engineering, mentoring, and participating in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation. The position requires a STEM bachelor's degree or 2+ years of IT Security experience, plus 2+ years of scripting, programming, security code review, and command-line troubleshooting experience. Preferred qualifications include networking, AWS, SDLC security, and additional IT Security experience.
