Description

Stripe is hiring an Abuse Control Engineer for its Abuse Control Engineering team to design, prototype, and deploy technical defenses against high-impact abuse vectors across API, protocol, and product boundaries. The role translates attacker evidence into control requirements, co-designs safeguards with product and security teams, runs risk experiments and A/B tests, builds automated regression suites, and manages the incubation lifecycle before transferring mature controls to product teams. Candidates need at least three years of relevant security or software engineering experience, a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience, strong Python, Go, Java, or similar production-language skills, SQL expertise, and experience with API safeguards, authentication, authorization, input validation, and automated testing.
