AWS is hiring a Security Engineer for its Cloud Response team in Australia to support security operations and incident response for AWS products and services. The role involves triaging and prioritizing security issues, communicating risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders, escalating issues, coordinating remediation across service teams, and building automation and AI-driven systems to reduce manual incident-response toil. The position requires 3+ years of programming experience in a listed object-oriented language, a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, and knowledge of HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP; AWS, security, AI/LLM agent, and automation experience are preferred. The role includes regular on-call responsibilities during the team's working hours and a global weekend rotation aligned to US Pacific time.
