Pomelo Care is hiring a remote Security Engineer to own the execution side of security for its virtual medical practice platform. The role focuses on building and shipping secure-by-default controls, automation, guardrails, and tooling to reduce risk across services, developer machines, identity/auth flows, and cloud/supply-chain security, while partnering with compliance on requirements such as HITRUST and healthcare-specific controls. The position reports to the VP of Engineering, can be based anywhere in the continental United States, offers a salary of $190,000-$260,000 plus equity, and includes comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, HSA/FSA options, 401(k), parental leave, and fully remote work flexibility.
