Description

Liftoff is hiring a full-time Security Operations Engineer to own Panther SIEM operations, lead AI-augmented SOC modernization, triage and investigate security alerts, lead incident response, and build automation and detection-as-code tooling. The role partners with engineering and IT teams, requires 5+ years of relevant security or software engineering experience, and is eligible for full-time remote work in specified United States locations.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of experience in security engineering, security operations, detection engineering, or software engineering with a security focus
Hands-on production SIEM operation, including log source onboarding, detection content, and alert triage
Production-quality security automation and detection-as-code development
Experience leading or substantially contributing to security incident response
Technical writing for design documents, runbooks, and post-incident reviews
Risk-based security work prioritization
Navigating large codebases and complex engineering systems
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with an AI-augmented SOC platform or LLM-augmented investigation and runbook tooling
Experience operating in large-scale cloud environments
Cloud incident response experience, particularly in AWS
Endpoint forensics for Mac and Linux incident response
Detection-as-code workflows in CI/CD pipelines
