Upwind is hiring a Security Engineer for its Managed Detection and Response (MDR) team in Australia. The founding Australian security team member will independently own Australia-hours coverage, perform proactive cloud security reviews, investigate complex incidents, improve detection and response, collaborate with analysts, researchers, and backend engineers, advise customers, and contribute to AI-driven detection models. The role includes shared on-call rotation and requires hands-on cybersecurity and cloud experience, detection engineering, incident response, threat analysis, cloud and container technologies, Linux, networking, scripting, and strong customer communication.
