The American School for the Deaf is hiring a full-time Security Guard in West Hartford, Connecticut, working Thursday through Sunday with specified evening and weekend shifts. The role monitors cameras and fire alarms, conducts security and emergency drills, checks lighting and other equipment, responds to emergencies, handles transport of students and staff needing medical assistance, and prepares activity and incident reports. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Connecticut driver’s license, and a Connecticut Security Guard Certification; American Sign Language proficiency is strongly preferred.
