Description
The Hospital Security Officer protects employees, patients, visitors, and hospital property by patrolling the building and grounds, monitoring access control and alarm systems, escorting visitors and patients, responding to codes and emergency calls, investigating incidents, documenting reports, and enforcing hospital policies. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior security or law enforcement experience, successful completion of PMCS training, and a valid New York State driver's license; NYS security guard registration is preferred. The position involves indoor and outdoor work, including exposure to snow, rain, heat, chemicals, communicable diseases, and bodily fluids.
