Description
The Columbus Metropolitan Library is hiring a full-time Security Officer for its Franklinton Branch. The role patrols library buildings and grounds, responds to safety hazards and security incidents, de-escalates disruptive behavior, enforces parking rules, secures the facility at closing, collaborates with law enforcement, and supports emergency response and security equipment testing. The schedule includes Monday–Thursday shifts, alternating Friday–Saturday shifts, occasional Sunday shifts, and rotational on-call duties. The position pays $19.20–$20.20 per hour and requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of relevant customer service or security experience or training, reliable transportation, and the ability to perform physical security duties.
