Glens Falls Hospital is hiring a Security Officer to protect patients, staff, visitors, and hospital property. The role involves patrolling buildings and grounds, staffing visitor check-in stations, screening Emergency Department entrances, responding to assistance calls, escorting visitors, de-escalating tense situations, supporting clinical staff during high-risk events, responding to emergency codes, coordinating with police, safeguarding patient valuables and confidential reports, and managing the respectful release of remains. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, active New York State Security Guard Certification, a valid driver's license, strong communication and de-escalation abilities, basic math and computer skills, problem-solving ability, and the physical capacity to stand, walk stairs, and respond quickly.
