Security Officer at Boston Athenaeum

The Boston Athenæum is hiring two full-time Security Officers for a 35-hour-per-week schedule. The role monitors library premises, conducts patrols, enforces safety policies, responds to incidents and emergencies, de-escalates conflicts, documents incidents, coordinates with staff and emergency services, operates surveillance and access-control systems, manages entryways and large events, and supports evacuation and first-aid procedures. A high school diploma or GED is required; prior security, hospitality, customer service, law enforcement, military, or related experience is preferred.
