Amazon is hiring a Security Engineer to lead the response to security issues across AWS Cloud services. The role involves triaging and assessing incidents, coordinating remediation across internal teams, developing security tools and automation, evaluating emerging threats, providing subject-matter expertise, mentoring staff, and fulfilling on-call responsibilities. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, programming experience, information security certification, knowledge of networking and system security, and experience with threat modeling, security solutions, and risk identification. AWS experience and experience with security operations, incident response, cryptography, and related fields are preferred.
